God’s Deliverance of Israel from Egypt.
1When Israel went forth afrom Egypt,The house of Jacob from a people of bstrange language,
2Judah became cHis sanctuary,
Israel, dHis dominion.
3The esea looked and fled;
The fJordan turned back.
4The mountains gskipped like rams,
The hills, like lambs.
5What hails you, O sea, that you flee?
O Jordan, that you turn back?
6O mountains, that you skip like rams?
O hills, like lambs?
7 iTremble, O earth, before the Lord,
Before the God of Jacob,
8Who jturned the rock into a kpool of water,
The lflint into a fountain of water.
